Lawyer – Commercial & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, commercially‑minded lawyer with at least three years of experience to join our Sofia office. The role focuses on privacy, commercial, corporate and compliance matters while offering exposure to banking, finance, labour, real estate, regulatory and dispute resolution projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Participate in data‑privacy audits, prepare GDPR compliance documentation and negotiate data‑processing agreements.
• Advise clients on commercial, compliance, corporate, banking and finance matters.
• Conduct legal due‑diligence, corporate restructurings and regulatory projects.
• Provide counsel on large‑scale layoffs, disciplinary measures and internal labour rules.
• Assist partners in complex transactions and client mandates.
• Attend client meetings and build trusted advisor relationships.
• Manage assigned matters independently under partner supervision.
• Contribute to internal knowledge management and professional development initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum three years of professional experience as a lawyer or in‑house counsel.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Proactive, responsible and solution‑oriented with high commercial awareness.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and maintain high professional standards.
• Integrity, reliability, discretion and strong teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
• Proficient with legal research and information systems.
• Experience with specialized legal software.
