IT Network Administrator

About the role

The IT Network Administrator oversees and manages the organization's IT network environment, including hardware and software, and handles incident and change management as well as employee on- and off-boarding support. The role covers the IT network in the Logistics business, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure network availability and quality, carrying out repairs together with local teams.
• Configure, change and update network and firewall devices, policies and rules.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and monitor and enforce the information security policy and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve network problems, including daily performance analysis and root cause investigation.
• Manage secure configurations and changes for networks, firewalls, hardware, systems and mobile devices.
• Identify suitable technologies, equipment and software for building networks.
• Schedule downtime for maintenance, patching and upgrades of network devices and systems.
• Perform incident management and change management, and follow up on ticket requests, escalating as needed.
• Support the IT aspects of employee on- and off-boarding and manage logistics for IT equipment.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience as Network Administrator or in a similar position.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• OSI model and network protocols: OSPF, RSVP/LDP, TCP/IP, RIP, VLANs, port security.
• Routing, switching, firewalling and protocols such as ICMP and ARP.
• Managing switches, routers, firewalls and cloud networks.
• Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, DHCP, NPS, CA.
• Preferred: Jira Service Management, virtualization, Windows Server, network infrastructure and ITIL certificates.
