Senior Product Owner / Business Analyst

About the role

Dreamix, a software service provider founded 20 years ago, delivers software solutions for international partners mainly in aviation, transportation, fintech and healthcare. It is looking for a Senior Product Owner / Business Analyst to manage the delivery process and turn high-level requirements into structured user stories understood by stakeholders and the delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer needs as they relate to the product backlog
• Advocate for and manage the value of product releases, prepare release notes and negotiate release dates
• Size the backlog appropriately (epics, stories) according to backlog order
• Communicate and advocate the product vision and lead the release plan
• Engage with development to commit backlog items to sprint deliverables
• Work with development, QA and DevOps teams to resolve questions and concerns during sprints
• Validate customer needs, understand the product vision and work with subject matter experts and vendors on the operating context
• Build rapport with key stakeholders and help steer the product direction

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager for software products
• Experience across multiple industries, projects and product setups
• Fluent spoken and written English
• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering
• Detail-oriented, analytical and inquisitive, able to work independently while keeping team spirit
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Proven record of working in an international environment with diverse stakeholders

Required skills

• Knowledge of gathering and processing software requirements
• JIRA and agile software methodologies
• An advantage: experience in aviation, insurance or energy, basic understanding of software technologies (databases, integrations, data), and experience with fixed time, scope and budget projects
