QA Engineer

About the role

Dreamix, a software service provider founded 20 years ago, delivers software solutions for companies in Germany, the UK, Switzerland and Silicon Valley through Java and web technologies. It is looking for a QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of its software by working closely with the development team throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare test planning, test coverage and estimation within a small to medium-sized team
• Work with developers to understand requirements and design test scenarios and test cases
• Run manual tests, analyse results, report defects and document findings clearly
• Develop, maintain and run basic automated test scripts to support existing automation and improve coverage
• Improve testing processes, coverage and QA efficiency
• Keep up to date with testing tools, techniques and automation best practices

Required profile

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and techniques
• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, mainly in manual testing
• Experience designing, writing and running test cases, scenarios and test plans
• Basic test automation experience with scripting in Java, Python, TypeScript or another language
• Familiarity with front-end, back-end and API testing, and with Agile/Scrum
• English fluency; good problem-solving, analytical and communication skills

• Jira and test management tools such as Zephyr, Xray or TestRail
• Test automation scripting (Java, Python, TypeScript)
