Mobile Voice Core Expert

About the role

The Mobile Voice Core Expert will join A1's Competence Delivery Center to operate, maintain, integrate and develop core network elements that enable voice services. You will work with modern mobile core technologies, internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure high availability and quality of voice services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and support mobile voice core network elements and related services.
• Test, accept and commission core network equipment and services.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot voice‑core infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and service providers to ensure effective support and compliance with agreements.
• Participate in incident management, on‑call support and planned maintenance activities.
• Contribute ideas for network and process optimisation and support capacity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in telecommunications or network engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Understanding of telecom core network architecture and functionality.
• Knowledge of telecom standards, signalling protocols and technologies.
• Familiarity with GSM, UMTS, LTE and VoLTE/IMS environments.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
