Reconciliation Specialist - Payments

About the role

Global Tech Markets is looking for a Reconciliation Specialist to join its fast-paced, performance-driven Payments team in Sofia. The role covers daily PSP balance checks, investigation of discrepancies and support of automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out PSP balances and perform daily reconciliations of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in preparing new reconciliation processes for integrating additional payment providers.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records and highlight potential issues to the finance team.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies and irregularities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to obtain information and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation of reconciliation processes, procedures and outcomes.
• Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team on streamlined processes.
• Take part in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the new reconciliation tool.

Required profile

• Experience in financial reconciliation; experience in the iGaming industry is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to handle large data sets accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage several tasks at once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain complex financial information to management.
• Team player who works well in a collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Knowledge of reconciliation tools is an advantage.
